Steps to make Date Tea Cakes

  • INGREDIENTS:
  • 2 Cups pitted Dates
  • 1 cup of hot milk
  • (190 ml) olive oil/butter as per your choice
  • ¼ cup curd
  • 2 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup (60 gm) walnuts
  • 5 Dates
  • Soak your pitted dates mix into the hot milk, and blend to a thick paste
  • INSTRUCTIONS:
  • Sieve through all your dry ingredients into your blended date paste, and add another 5-6 dates, and chopped up dry-fruits of your choice. Alternatively, use a delicious blend of THE DATE HOUSE dryfruit-stuffed dates for an extra kick of nutty flavor!.
  • Put into a loaf tin or a cake tin that has been greased beforehand.
  • Bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.
  • Sieve over some icing sugar for a sweeter kick, or drizzle a bit of maple over the top and voila – your moist, gooey, yummy date cake is ready!
