Date Tea Cakes


2 cups pitted dates

1 cup of hot milk

(190 ml) olive oil/butter as per your choice

¼ cup curd

2 cup wheat flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ cup milk

½ cup (60 gm) walnuts

5 dates

Soak your pitted dates mix into the hot milk, and blend to a thick paste.


Sieve through all your dry ingredients into your blended date paste, and add another 5-6 dates, and chopped up dry-fruits of your choice. Alternatively, use a delicious blend of THE DATE HOUSE dryfruit-stuffed dates for an extra kick of nutty flavor! .

Put into a loaf tin or a cake tin that has been greased beforehand.

Bake at 180C for 45 minutes.

Sieve over some icing sugar for a sweeter kick, or drizzle a bit of maple over the top and voila – your moist, gooey, yummy date cake is ready!
